Heh. I will be crossing my fingers for you. I understand your hesitance, having watched something unravel before my very eyes before. (Not because the pattern was crappy, though, but because I am crappy.) But trust the pattern. It will be okay. And going by the pictures, incredibly cool indeed. V. Pretty.
And hey, that sounds like a pattern I can attempt! *g* Except I do not think I could pull off wearing it.
The finger-crossing worked! It turned out REALLY COOL. And it was fun to do - I had to encourage the laddering all along the width of it, so it was like deliberately putting a run in your pantyhose.
I doubled the cast on called for in the pattern so it's really shawl-length, which I think might be easier to pull off wearing.
