Lexy is royally dissappointed because she has to work tonight, and can not go to the 94.9 Zeta Halloweenie Roast where Saliva, Papa Roach, COLLECTIVE SOUL, and Chevelle will be playing ( Read more... )

Opening and closing !!! That's a bit much. I don't know how you deal with retail. I can't stand people as is. But the people that shop are so fucking stupid or pushy that you just want to take a machine gun and shoot them all.

I used to work at an office/art supply store. It sucked most of the time.

The mall on Sundays open at 12 and close at 6, so Im there usually from 11:30 to around 7, so its not that bad. The only thing that sucks is I cant take a break today since Im the only one managing the store, and YES I get that feeling too when you just want to take a machine gun and shoot all the customers because they are so rude and annoying. Not only do the little kids come and, take stuff off the pegs of shelves and drop them on the floor, or even throw, but so do the adults! This always happens on the weekends or on a friday when it gets really busy. But besides all the negative stuff about my job, its also like "fun time" for me especially when there is hardly anyone in the store, because then I just goof off with my friends who I work with and then its not bad.

That's true I remember when I used to go to lunch and get stoned with my co worker. The we would come back to work and play the movie game with my friend David. Then my Manager had to come back from sick leave and fuck it up. But it was cool while it lasted.

I didn't know Collective Soul were still together, but admittedly, I haven't been tracking them or anything. As for the other bands on that bill... well, I'd rather go see the Buzz show.

Everybody's been telling me The Grudge is really scary. And I keep telling them I wouldn't waste my time on it. I'm waiting for SAW -- comes out on Friday -- which looks like a real horror movie. Real horror movies make you feel horrified and disgusted at what's happening; teenie horror movies just have things jump at you and nonsensical plot twists.

However, The Ring and House on Haunted Hill are two of the latter kind which are worth your time, in my opinion.

Rollerball is absolutely horrid, I agree; however, Spice World is actually the worst movie ever made.

Ooooo who is playing at the Buzz Show??

About the Grudge, you could sort of even tell in the previews that the movie wasnt going to be all that scary. I agree with you on all that you said, and yes I want to go see Saw too, that movie looks really good and scary! I didnt know it comes out this friday.. thats cool! Hahah yes Spice World was wicked bad!!! But would that tie with CrossRoads? I never saw the movie but the previews I know looked horrible

The Ring I thought was a really good movie..... and guess what. The Ring that we all saw was the American version of the original which was japanse.... and the grudge was written by the same ppl that made the Ring (japanese version)

Crossroads... the Britney Spears movie?

I keep thinking of the Bone Thugs and Harmony song.

I remember seeing a very small piece of it, since my sister had rented it. I think Britney's a lot of fluff, and what she did in that movie wasn't acting, it was just being... um, fluffy. That happens a lot when you take singers who want to be actors and you put them in a vehicle (meaning, "a movie designed around them" -- think all non-MIB Will Smith movies and all Mary Kate/Ashley Olsen movies). Britney Spears is never going to be Madonna, let alone someone like Reese Witherspoon.

Yeah! :) I know about The Ring being Japanese... my friend actually has Ringu, although I never borrowed it. I mean, I do like some of the creepy, MTV-slimed jump-at-you-types of scary movies, but they have to be stylish since they're not scary.

As for who's playing at the Buzz Bakesale, Korn's gonna be there, so I HAVE to go. Not because I like them, but because I used to like them. Actually I used to be obsessed with them. Anyway, I never got to see them back when I was obsessed with them, so I figured I should see them at least once before I die. Also, Nonpoint, Presidents of the United States of America, and a bunch of other bands I can't remember will be there. It's on December 3rd (a Saturday) and tickets are only $16. Oh yeah, and I feel your pain, I had to work today too, and I was training our new girl, who still can't pierce so I had to do all 5 piercings (which is alot for our store), plus I had to wait for her to close which took FOREVER!!!

Wicked, yeah. I was thinking of seeing Korn for the same reason -- I saw them with Rob Zombie on the ROCK IS DEAD tour and it was amazing. I don't care for the newer stuff -- at all -- but I would go to hear some s/t and even FTL.

Same thing with Nonpoint. Of course they played Florida shows for a million years before they got signed -- which is respectable. I was a Nonpoint fan a long time ago, back when their album "statement" was called "struggle", and I STILL think that Struggle is a hundred times better than Statement because of the way it's mixed.

Presidents... hahahaha. They would be awesome to see live. A really odd but awesome show would have Presidents, Primus, and They Might Be Giants.

Yeah, except he couldn't hit all the notes and he had to stop between songs for a couple minute break. Girls took off their tops for 'Living Dead Girl', and when I say girls, I mean biker moms.

Hey, good news. I may have an opportunity (at least with time) to come visit, the 12th-14th of November. I still don't have any money though, so that's a consideration.

I never realized it before, but Crossroads is NOT a crappy movie. At least not the older one with Steve Vai in it. The Britney one probably sucks.
