What did you do in 2011 that you’d never done before?
I went on a trip with my dad, just the two of us. And we only butted heads once during the trip!

Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I never make any. I guess I'm too much of a pessimist to even bother.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
No. What a weird question.

Did anyone close to you die?
No.

What countries/states did you visit?
Just Italy.

What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
More contact with friends who aren't either family or work mates.

What dates from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
I never remember things or events by their dates.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Always managing to wake up in time to go to work. Not kidding.

What was your biggest failure?
I'm sure I could think of a few.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
My migraines worsened again. It's the main reason why I haven't been online much.

What was the best thing you bought?
Shoes. I hate shopping for shoes and somehow I managed to find more than one new pair that I love. I'm particularly fond of my dark blue leather ballerinas.

Whose behaviour merited celebration?
I'm really proud of my sister. She had it pretty rough for a few years.

Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Probably some customer at work. To quote The IT Crowd: ”People, what a bunch of bastards.”

Where did most of your money go?
Rent, duh.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Probably when they renewed my work contract for an extra 4,5 months. Oh, and getting to visit the Cinecittà studios in Rome. That was amazing.

What song will always remind you of 2011?
I don't listen to music like that.

Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Sadder but okay.
b) thinner or fatter? About the same, I guess.
c) richer or poorer? Richer. Emphasis on the -er not on the rich.

What do you wish you’d done more of?
Read more books in French.

What do you wish you’d done less of?
Worried about money and things.

How did you spend Christmas?
At my parents with my little sister and her boyfriend. Same as last year.

Did you fall in love in 2011?
Heh. No.

How many one-night stands?
I don't think that concerns anyone but me.

What was your favourite TV program?
Not my favourite quality-wise but Supernatural I had most fun with.

Did you make a friend with anyone that you didn’t know this time last year?
Not any close friends.

What was the best book you read?
I was really impressed with ”The Vintner's Luck” by Elizabeth Knox. I was expecting a well-written novel but not for it to have such an impact on me.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
Can't think of one. Maybe I should listen to more music made after 1979?

What did you want and get?
A trip to Rome. I've been wanting to go there again for years.

What did you want and not get?
I would have liked to find suitable preemptive migraine meds that work.

What was your favourite film of this year?
Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Maybe.

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
28 years old. I don't remember what I did on my birthday. Not surprising since I always forget about it anyway.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Not living in the middle of nowhere.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
Hahahahaaaaha.Haha.

What kept you sane?
Work. That's pretty Lutheran sad, isn't it?

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
No one comes to mind. Now if the question had been about fictional people, well. Oh. No, wait! Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig. Yes, please.

What political issue stirred you the most?
Everything ~stirs me.

Who did you miss?
Everyone. Nobody's fault but mine for living in the middle of nowhere!

Who was the best new person you met?
Such a strange question.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011.
Here's a chance to say something witty, isn't it? Yeah, probably not going to happen.
