Work stockinette stitch for 10 rows, about 5.5 inches.
11: K2 stitches, slip stitches to waste yarn, (BO 2 stitches) K16, slip last 2 stitches onto waste yarn
12 & all WS rows: P
13 & all RS rows: Sl1, K1, PSSO, K to last 2 stitches, K2tog
Do this for 9 rows, at which point you should have 8 stitches.
Seam the toe with kitchener stitch OR by pulling yarn through all 8 stitches, fold in half and seam up the top until you get the stitches on waste yarn.
Sew together with kitchener stitch (Pick up active stitches, K 3-4 rows, attach a button). Sew up the seam at the heel.
And you’re finished!
*Version B has a button. I have only made Version A.
