i watched an informative show the other night about how one of the founders of greenpeace left the organization and now talks shit about it all the time on how its a huge political entity now and how the entire organization has become more about furthering its politics as opposed to actual environmental issues

also they said it hires attractive young people who are eager to help the environment to get the company money to further political issues they [the young people] might not agree with

what are your thoughts on this issue as an employee of this organization?

hahahah that sounds totally like an essay question but really im just bored at work and am typing a lot to kill time :|

first off, greenpeace uses political means to environmental ends. this is necessary because most of the time, corporations that are enviromentally irresponsible aren't held accountable for their actions (or failure to act in an environmentally-sound way) by governments. so greenpeace lobbies in order to make legislation that requires them to clean up their acts. so, greenpeace has to get political in order to make change ( ... )

i dont remember the guys name really, but if it was that guy that IS wacko

also this show had all this info on peta and how they were a terrorist organization and how they totally support blowing stuff up and the like

it was a cool show, pen and teller bullshit, i suggest wathcing it for its omic value as well as its interesting point of view

by the way their views on greenpeace do not, in any way indicate my own
