Hi. Remember those horrible periods that I had? Well, one of them finally put me in the ER. The diagnosis: polycystic ovary syndrome. It explains a lot. . .including why I have had 2 HUGE mistakes around "the time" and never gotten pregnant. Hey hun, I'm so sorry to hear you were diagnosed with PCOS. While I don't know very much about it myself, I believe my mom has it (and I've been meaning to have myself checked for it cause I've had some minor problems that could be related too but just haven't had the money as I have no insurance..) and a few of my chapter sisters do also, who have always been really happy to help anyone who has questions about it. If you'd like I could talk to them and see if they have any advice I could pass along, or maybe share your contact info with them or vice versa so you could talk to them if you had any questions or just wanted to talk to someone who's also been through it? Let me know :-)

And I LOVE One Tree Hill! Except that I didn't get to see the last season because of work.. it was very upsetting. Though I did just discover that it's on hulu.com! So as soon as I finish catching up on Nip/Tuck, catching up on OTH is my next mission!

I have had PCOS for 2yrs now. Trust me its hard. Matthew and I are trying to have a baby and its not happening right now. It gets very depressing. At least you have periods. I only have one a year if I am lucky. We are going to have to go on Clomyd to get pregnant. And when I am done having a babies I get to have a Hysterosaplingooferectomy. (I think that is how it is spelled).

Visit PCOSupport.org. It is a great website and has lots of tips on what to do, etc. Also get a buddy to talk to, who has it or knows about it . I have Micki, she has it and she and I talk about it alot. She is my PCOS mentor.

hey girlie -- i hope you can figure out all the healthcare stuff ! That's awful. For awhile I was thinking I had polycystic ovary syndrome... I'm still not sure. I need to find a doc who isn't an idiot. I feel like I spend more time on the road getting there than she actually spends trying to figure out WTH is wrong with me.

I hope things turn around for you!
