I finished it..Yay?
Kinda sad its over...Read below, but be warned for..
It was my favorite so far.
For me, the book started off really, painstakingly slow. I wanted to just put it down, but I fought the urge, and Im glad I did so:)
I was in shock over acouple of things- Harry and Ginny getting together. Man, all the H/G fictioners out there must have been holidaying with joy. And then the speech Ginny gave when Harry 'dumped' her.."Well, I never really gave up on you..I knew it would come to this.." I found it too sappy.
Ron and Lavender..Can you say, SLUT? I mean, I never thought Ron would sink that low..To get Hermione jealous, I think he wound up abit too tight into it all.
I knew Snape was a crossover in the earlier chapters, when he agreed to do the Vow. In the next book, Snape and Nacissa are SO going to have a thing. I said it first, people..And Narcissa..What was with all that whinnying? Have some DIGINITY!
I thought the Half Blood Prince was Voldemort, for all the time uptill Snape confesses. Really nicely written, the way people can pull different conclusions from dropped hints..Mine was when the testbook was said to go back 50 years. And when there was the note about the bezoar, 'Just shove it down his throat'..It seemes kind of..Voldemort-ish to me.
The Horcruxes..Beautiful idea. I wish it where mine. When they went to get the locket, that scene kind of freaked me out, with the corpses and reminded me of Hercules, when their in hell.
I loved, abasoutley loved, Draco and Fleur in this book. The end of the book, when Fleur gives the speech...'`Oped I voodent marry eem?' Brilliant. And Draco, when Harry comes across him in the washroom, talking to himself. I loved that. It touched me deep, for some odd reason. And when Draco couldnt kill Dumbledore. I almost felt sorry for him, when Snape comes and does it for him.
Dumbledore dead. I thought for sure there must have been a mistake, a loophole..Nothing. I knew JK was going to kill off a main character, but Albus? He was one of my favorites. He held Hogwarts together, he held the books together!
And speaking of Hogwarts, it seemed fitting that Harry wouldnt be attending it in the next year. Voldemort wouldnt wait up for a kid in school, would he? And by doing this, were seeing a more independant, manly side of Harry..Its awesome.
Thats all I want to say now, Im beat tired, and Im going to the beach tomorrow, so my eyes must be rested, or else I wont be able to scoop some hotties...
Ill update on Monday.
And sorry this is abit sparkled brain, Im tired and its late.
