Folkfest Pictures!

Jul 24, 2004 11:58

The Folkfest was quite awesome this year, and now I am finally going to learn how to post these pics. I'm actually going to be rather ambitious and see if I can do an LJ-cut. If you're not going to applaud my effort, well, just shut up you.

Poor food preppers, chopping up Friday night's salmon... and poor salmon for that matter!

How did she not get dizzy?

There were pics of Saturday's run, but I deleted them in favour of my superior Sunday run pics when I ran out of space.

Evykins the next morning at stage 2.

We were watching Eric Bibb, Janis Ian, Jorane, and some other people I don't remember.

However, we got kinda bored, so headed down to stage 6, where we saw...

The Filippo Gambetta Trio...

and Fiamma Fumana (ok, only two are in the pic, I have better ones) and OLIVER SCHROER! In the most awesome yellow pants.

Here's a better pic of Oliver later that day, jamming away:

Beautiful West Gate market, with a pink umbrella!

Ellen McIllwaine and Jorane and, er, some other neat people. They all sounded really good, awesome concert. And check out Ellen's guitar eh?

The Warsaw Village Band. Would have rocked my socks if I'd been wearing any, they were shiny.

All of Fiamma Fumana, including a stressed-out sound lady in the red hat.

The Bills played the evening concert, but I have better pictures of them the next day, so we'll just skip those... and go straight to... BLURRY PICS OF SHOOGLENIFTY!!!!!!!!!

"Jump!"

"G'night!"

Then, following Shooglenifty, the park became deserted...

But we went to the party and lay on the grass.

The next morning we saw a concert including the lovely Po'girl. Now, one at a time...

Trish Klein

Diona Davies

And a slightly blurry Allison Russell

this workshop also included Martyn Joseph...

and ODETTA!

All together now...

The wonderful Eric Bibb.

Now, Ev and I was workin' our little butts off in the kitchen. This is what we looked like...

Bandanna and T-shirt, courtesy of the Folkfest, apron reading 'We serve kosher only' courtesy of my family, my Nana having given it to my dad.

I don't normally contort myself like that, but I had to show you my ugly sneakers that I had to wear in the kitchen. Also, take note, new sunglasses, 'cause I lost my old ones *sigh*

So hot... and I'm not talking about Devon!

The Bills! Excepting guitarist and bassist.

There they are!

Fiamma Fumana again.

Dancing Lucy!

Here come the Bills

Go mandolin!

Po'girl on the mainstage, avec drummer and bassist.

Jos!

And then we went and had a rousing good time dancing to Shooglenifty at the afterparty!

Love,
K

P.S. This took forever, it better work!
