Dave, I'm really sorry... that's NOT what I meant to do. I sort of assume that you and Melisa are the only ones reading this journal because you are the two that comment. And to be honest, one of the things I like about you is that you EXPRESS your opinions. (I really can't stand when people have something to say and shutup for fear of offending people) I fully expected you to read that and write a diatribe about how its all bullshit and how believers blame coincidences on God. I guess it was just my way of acknowledging that not all my readers (you and melisa) feel the same way I do. I'm sorry if I offended you. :(
did we ever figure out what quixotic even means?? fucking gre's. baaaad memories....although, kinda funny thinking about our gre word convos on the way to gear up.
The word Quixotic makes reference to the last name of a character in the musical "Man of LaMancha". Don QUIXOTE (pronounced key-ho-tay) was marked for his fearless pursuit of challenges and adventure. Though the thigns he believed to be enemies or difficulties were thought of as ridiculous to the rest of the world, the point of the play is that his passion was overwhelming and in the end, he ALWAYS felt he could rise to meet and BEAT whatever life had to throw at him!
I chose that word for my mood because I was feeling so good that I wanted to take on the world!!! :)
Thanks for MAKING MY NIGHT by reminding me of "assuage" and by giving me something english-related to explain. Love it.
