Almost eight hours ago I attempted to leave the UP. Now as it approaches midnight, I'm here at the Super 8 Motel in Munising, waiting out what has been a doozy of a snow/windstorm in the Upper Peninsula (Lower Michigan has experienced its fair share of weather struggles, too).
