Backstory
Personality:
Lexie is a relatively reserved girl, until she gets to know someone. She learns a lot from first impressions and is unlikely to talk to someone who she feels is rude or obnoxious, unless she feels there is potential in them. She’s also very vengeful, and if someone irritates her or bullies her, she’ll do what she can to get back at them, whether it be subtly, or publicly. She loves having friends, but isn’t really looking for love, or any kind of romantic relationship. However, she wouldn’t turn one down if the opportunity arose. Lexie is an intelligent young woman, as she spent a large part of her childhood reading, as to avoid her family.

Strengths: Both magical and personality:
Lexie does quite well in most subjects that require theory work, and has a knack for handling the animals introduced in Care of Magical Creatures. She does skip a few of the classes she’s not so good at, but makes up for them by working as hard as possible during her homework time.

Personality wise, Lexie is quite easy-going and easy to get along with. She makes friends easily, and dislikes making enemies, unless completely necessary. She has a sarcastic sense of humour and was very precocious as a child. This has attracted some people, while warded off others. She isn't a pushover and is quick to question motives when she feels is necessary, and often asks what is in it for her.

Weaknesses: Both magical and personality:
Lexie is only an average student when it comes to her wand work. She blames this on her muggle upbringing, but is aware that this is hardly an excuse. For this reason she tends to fall back on her studies or friends. She also finds Herbology a dull excuse for a lesson, and seems to always end up in a situation where her plants are dead.

Lexie can be very withdrawn and reserved, finding solace in silence and solitude at times. She never fit in with her adoptive family and finds herself having an ongoing feud with them. She has high expectations and many hopes and dreams, which causes her to encourage most people around her, hoping that if she doesn’t make it in the outside world, they can.

Fears:
Lexie’s only fear is that she will have nobody to fall back on in life. She lost her original family due to the pressures of her mother’s family. She never agreed with anything her adoptive family said or did and she only has her friends at Hogwarts.

History:
Lexie’s mother, Charlotte Atlas, was in her final year of school when she had intimate relations with a muggleborn from Hogsmeade, and unfortunately, Charlotte got pregnant. Charlotte’s mother was distraught when she found out that their blood line would be soiled by one mistake made by a teenager. She made Charlotte promise to give up the child as soon as it was born, and not wanting any other pureblood family to risk the chance of receiving the baby, the child was given to a muggle orphanage. Instructions that accompanied the baby girl were that her last name was to be Atlas, and that she not be told of her background until she turned 11 and received her letter to whatever school was in the area of their location.

Lexie’s adoptive family did everything they could to get along with Lexie as she grew up, but she was never interested. She got the distinct feeling that she didn’t belong in their already dysfunctional family, so chose to distant herself from them. The only responses they got out of her were typical sarcastic, precocious comments. They would buy her what they wanted, trying to buy her tolerance, but she instead used this to her advantage, getting herself what she wanted. When she turned 11, she received the letter to Hogwarts, and was strangely relieved and planned to use her magic talent (or what she believed would be her magic talent) to deviate against her adoptive parents.

Year: 5th
House: Slytherin
Why are they in that house? When first arriving at Hogwarts, the amount of hatred inside of Lexie was overwhelming. The only reason she didn’t turn down the offer to attend Hogwarts was her desperate need to escape her hell and to learn how to subject her “family” to the same kind of torture she’d endured for 11 years. The sorting hat must have observed this and realised she could learn the most about that whilst being in Slytherin. Even though she often doesn’t seem to belong there, the deviance that pops up occasionally proves otherwise.

Any Ideas?
