When he noticed Lexie, he gave her a wave back and head over, happily sitting down next to her. Things were weird, sure -- dying her hair blonde wasn't even the start of it, he could tell -- but George was in a perpetually awkward state.
A little more awkwardness wasn't going to hurt.
"Hey," he said, bumping her shoulder with a smile before he sat.

He'd partaken in many a free drink when he needed and when he didn't. It was the one thing he enjoyed most about being stuck on an island he couldn't escape from.

Trying being the key word. Not necessarily succeeding.
It was easier, anyway, with George by her side, one reminder that this place wasn't all bad. So maybe things were too bizarre for words. At least he was alive. "It kind of owes us that, you know? If it's going to force us to be stuck here for God knows how long, at the very least, we need all the drinks we can get."
