A Long Journey: Chapter 2

Hey guys here's chapter 2, I promised it would be longer and it is and I've posted it quickly even amongst packing to move at the end of this week ^_^
Chapter 2
Yawning Eunhyuk placed his thumb on the print reader unlocking the door to the dorm. His stomach grumbled, he smelt something wonderful coming from the kitchen. Kicking off his shoes, he dumped his bag in his room and lazily wandered to the kitchen.
Kyuhyun, sitting on the counter, was badgering Sungmin for a taste of the spicy rice cakes he was cooking in a pan, Ryeowook was busy checking on some cookies in the in the oven, and Yesung was watching Ddangkoma and his brothers crawling all over the kitchen table. Eunhyuk sighed.
“Yesung hyung, how many times has Eeteuk hyung told you to not put the turtles on the kitchen table?!” he spoke exasperatedly. “They aren’t clean, we eat there, go put them away and wipe down the table.”
“Is that any way to talk to your hyung?” Yesung grumbled.
“When my hyung is acting like a 5 year old, then yes, it is.”
Kyuhyun snickered from his spot on the counter and Yesung gave him a scathing look as he picked up his turtles and left to put them away.
“Eunhyuk hyung, where’s Teukie Hyung?” Ryeowook piped in resting against the counter while he waited for his cookies to be done.
“He got a call from Lee Soo Man Sunbaenim and had to go in for an urgent meeting, I don’t know why, but I think he should be home soon.”
Ryeowook nodded and Eunhyuk left to go get on his computer and update his twitter or play starcraft or something to kill time. About 15 minutes later he heard Eeteuk talking to Ryeowook in the kitchen before he shouted for everyone to come eat dinner.
Quickly he shut down his computer and hurried to the kitchen to get some food before everyone else ate it. Entering the kitchen he could see Eeteuk’s eyes were red and the man looked distraught.
“Everything okay Eeteuk hyung?” he asked
“I’ll be alright Hyukkie, I’ll explain after dinner to everyone what that meeting was about.”
Eunhyuk nodded and sat down to eat his dinner. Just then Heechul, Shindong, Donghae, and Siwon came stumbling into the dorm from the upstairs dorm.
Eeteuk groaned. “Can’t any of you cook, so you don’t have to keep coming down here and eating our food?”
“Well yes, we can cook, maybe if we want to kill ourselves, or eat the same boring crap over and over, but we don’t.” Heechul responded snarkily.
“Sungmin and Ryeowook cook much better than any of us could.” Donghae interjected as he stuffed himself on a bowl of the spicy rice cakes.
“Fine, see if I care.” Eeteuk grumbled. “Everybody, group meeting after dinner.” He yelled over the din that was 10 boys in one small dorm before leaving. Eunhyuk could only hope Eeteuk might have something good to tell them instead of the bad he was predicting. The group could really use something uplifting rather than more bad news.
Finishing his meal, Eunhyuk dumped his bowl in the sink and then rushed to grab a seat on the couch before anyone else did. When Eeteuk came out again a few minutes later Eunhyuk gestured for him to come take the seat next to him.
“Thanks Hyukkie.” Eeteuk said as he plopped down onto the couch.
“No problem hyung.”
About 10 minutes later everyone had found seats around the room, Heechul taking the other seat on the couch next to Eeteuk, Siwon on the floor by his feet. Donghae sat at Eunhyuk’s feet giving Eunhyuk a smile. Just then there was a knock on the door before it opened and Henry and Zhou Mi walked into the dorm. “Mimi!” Sungmin squealed before rushing over to give the much taller man a hug. Zhou mi laughed, “You just saw me yesterday Hyung.”
Sungmin just smiled and dragged him to sit between himself and Kyuhyun.
Henry said a quiet hello before he was grabbed by Donghae to sit next to him, Donghae throwing an arm over his shoulders. Eunhyuk laughed to himself as everyone started talking and he could see the annoyance building on Eeteuk’s face.
“Everybody, be quiet please for a few minutes so I can get this over with!” Eeteuk shouted over all the noise. Everyone immediately went quiet and stared at their unusually loud hyung. “Sorry, but you all know that I’ll never get a word in if you all keep talking so loud.” Eeteuk grumbled.
Eunhyuk smiled at his hyung giving him the courage to go on.
“So Lee Soon Man Sunbaenim called me in for a meeting as I was leaving Sukira tonight, and I’m sorry, I know the last thing we need to is more bad news, but that’s what I have to give.” Swallowing he continued, “Hankyung has decided to leave the group, and is suing the company to have his contract terminated.”
