He did get my heart beating kinda erratic for a bit there. My 16 year old daughter almost choked. She gets the HoYay - she might now know about "slash" specifically, but she has been known to elbow me while watching the Pirates movies and the Lord of the Rings.

Seriously, that sounds like a Freudian slip to me - maybe a heads-up to be standing by to be all supportive when he 'isn't interested in girls', perhaps?

Or maybe sometimes a slip of the tongue is just a slip of the tongue.

For the last few years, my daughter has been saying she thinks he may be leaning that way. And most of my gay friends have said they "knew" from an early age, even if they didn't quite realize what they knew.

I think that is part of why she and I almost lost it completely when he slipped.

But, as you said, it coulda just been a plain old slip too. Whatever. He is a good kid no matter what.
