I swear SOME church folk are a trip. I just GOTTA KNOW...am I the only person who thinks it is WRONG for you to give your CHURCH your social security number, and have THEM take the 10% tithes out your check FOR YOU? Regardless of if its a choice...do you think that is OKAY

Um no. I love the church that I grew up in, but there is some corruption in err'dang church. If fools will steal from the collection plate (i.e. Pastor drivin a 100K Mercedes) then I aint giving them fools my damn SS. And they aint direct withdrawing crap!

I will say that because I'm a musician EMPLOYED by a church, they have my SSN...and I authorized them to take my tithes out of my check (the check that THEY cut me...not ALL my income)...so it's kinda a special case. But I definitely don't think anyone that's not gettin paid BY the church needs to give the church that kinda privilege with their money...
