So, while I was at my mom's house last night, someone broke into my car and stole my phone (well, forced the window all the way down and stole it). When my mom tried calling it multiple times, some guy picked up. Apparently, he didn't speak English very well and said that he had found my phone on the street. I'm pretty sure that insurance covers theft.

A friend of mine had her phone stolen, and texted/called her phone offering the person in posession of it a cash reward if he'd return the phone to her. She got a group of friends together (safety in numbers), and met him to get her phone back. When he handed her the phone, she essentially ran into a waiting car and sped off without paying the douchebag.

If you can get something similar set up, I'm sure you'll have no shortage of friends who would help out with the execution.

you know if the phone is on, it can be tracked... you do have to file a police report for the theft part of the insurance to kick in too.

I've had horrible luck with Sprint replacing my broken phones. That's actually the #2 reason I switched to T Mobile.

Let me know if they don't replace it. I have an old ghetto sprint phone lying around somewhere.

Hooorrrrayyyyy for never throwing anything away.
