Watching Newsroom too and so far so good. I love the opening theme but I suppose that it also reminds me of West Wing. :-)

I am actively avoiding the Con stuff though because of all the spoiler warnings. hehehe.

Yeah. I just watched the SPN one and there were a few season 8 plot points. Nothing too specific though. I think I'm gonna watch the Fringe one next, I've never really heard the actors from that one interviewed so should be interesting.

The Newsroom is worth watching? It isn't here yet and when it is it will be on pay tv, I'll grab some downloads. But good news, they've just started screening The Dollhouse ;o)

Yeah. I'm liking it. But I will say its not his best work. Imagine a politically less subtle West Wing O_O But its nowhere near bad enough to make me stop watching, that said I loved all of Studio 60 (even the jump the shark Afghan hostage episodes) so that should give you a hint on my Sorkin quality control levels :P

Yeah, I liked Studio 60 too. Have you seen Sorkin's wiki page? You know in Studio 60 how one of the main characters got busted for coke possession and continued to work on series' under assumed names? He must have been based on Sorkin, himself. I'd love to know which eps he ghosted.

Ooooh! I hadn't seen it. But, yeah, totally like Bradley Whtfords character in 60. It's strange that I really enjoy his work, but there's something about him that just makes me a little shuddery. I don't know what it is. I've got a vague memory of reading about him being an ass to a girlfriend...maybe thats it? Yeah, I'd like to know about the ghost writing too!

I've been recording The Newsroom but like the fifty other things I've been recording, I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I'm willing it to be good though!

It is! As long as you're not expecting subtle though lol! But even if the dialogue gets a bit clunky on occasion, I really like all the characters so far and I want to keep knowing what happens to them :)

i'm watching the newsroom! i'm really loving it, and there aren't even any gay people on it, which you know that's a big deal for me.

i thought the 1st episode was AMAZING and the second less so, and the 3rd was great and i had to rewatch the end of the 4th ep like 5 times because i loved it so and the last one was also YES. i find every time it's over i'm like JESUS FUCK THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD.

Hahahaha. But YAAY i'm glad my friends are watching it too! I just watched this weeks and thought it was excellent!! My only problem with it now is that the characters are still reminding me of ones from the West Wing (Jim and Maggie = Josh and Donna etc) but I'm sure I'll get over that soon :)
