Okay, so Star Trek XI is awesome, and I am giddy with the amount of love floating about for TOS these days, too. But I can't be the only one still in love with the middle children of the franchise! 90's Trek was fantastic, dudes, and I just know there's a whole slice of fandom out there who grew up on TNG and DS9 and Voyager like me. I think it might be helpful to start off with a kink-meme to drum up interest. It's so fast and loose (and anon) that people can whet their appetite with prompts and short fills, and if that gets the response you hope for, it could be a great launching place for any of the other more traditional ficathon type undertakings.

As for timing, I'd say sooner rather than later, *but* I'd leave off May since a resurgence in the Iron Man fandom might divide people's attention. IDK how big that resurgence might be, but giving yourself a little space couldn't hurt.

Also possibly fun - this might be way too big an undertaking given the number of eps, but what about a ficathon where people claimed episodes of the various series and did missing scene/au/related fics so there was one for each ep?
