For spn_cinema. I chose Gladiator (2000) as my movie inspiration. Heavily inspired by the look of the movie, but also by Spartacus-Blood and Sand, and Rome. Many thanks to ileliberte for whipping the many anatomy issues into shape.

These are insanely awesome! I really love the costumes, Ruby's especially. Their faces are wonderfully realistic and recognizable, and the backgrounds are really atmospheric. I think Azazel/Sulphureus is my favouritest thing ever here, with his perfect expression and the cup and the lighting.

Thank you! I'm such a pushover for costumes, and I've wanted to paint Ruby for a while.

Azazel has such wonderful sly expressions - I found a great screencap for a reference, and the rest of the scene ended up being built around him.

These are truly gorgeous, excellent work. I think you've nailed Sam perfectly in that first one. The details such as the crowd and the "sails/covering" of the arena are great touches. Love your use of burgandy/brown/red/gold in all of them.

Thank you! I referenced the arena in the first one from Spartacus because the sails looked so interesting.

I liked the idea of using a sort of colour theme for the set, and I don't use much brown and gold usually, so this was something new for me to try.
