O_o What? How--? Your art blows me away every time, but that first piece is in a class all by itself. It's legit three-dimensional! The composition and depth, all the layers and levels, wow. It feels like you could fall right into the scene. From the foreground ivy tendrils to Dean to Castiel, to the tables behind him, and then the people in the distance. This piece is some kind of brilliant. Wow. Simply gorgeous.
. . . so what's going on with those sparkles around Dean? Duh. Nevermind. I really should learn to read. ;)
The second one . . . whoa, does Dean's face me the willies. He's as beautiful as always, but those eyes, yikes. The lightning and barely-lit demonic faces in the background are creepy enough, but Dean . . . yeah, Dean's creeping me out big-time.
Awesome work, as usual. :) And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to stare and sigh at that first one some more.
Hey, thanks! I did have fun playing around with the 3D aspect and blurring out the background. I wanted the little flecks of light around Dean to be most probably dust motes but maybe just-possibly something more magical (and the sunlight on the ivy ditto).
I like the way Dean in the second picture turned out a bit creepy :)
These are marvellous! Love the colours in the first one, and its quiet almost domestic feel, everything seemingly normal. Love the dust motes and haloing with light, and the 3D effect. The second one's such a contrast - so dramatic and with Dean so intense. It really tells the story. Great work, as usual!
Thank you! The tone of the story is much more the first than the second, so I wanted to do at least one scene which reflected that, but I couldn't resist painting the dramatic scene :)

(As backgrounds go, Shopping Mall and Demon Horde both turned out to be interesting challenges, if time consuming )
