Can't quite believe it although Jan Brewer is being predictably obnoxious about it. The cool thing is that this is happening so quickly across the country that it all feels rather yesterday's newsish. I have to remind myself that back in the 90s when I heard that the LGBT movement was going to work on legal marriage, I scoffed. I truly couldn't imagine it. S and I just looked at our marriage certificate the other day and realized that we had been legally married for FIVE years. Sort of amazing. (We don't particularly pay attention to that date as we've been together for 28 years and see that just as the legal stamp that has been helpful for health benefits etc.) The New Normal indeed.
