Does this make the implicit assumption that economics is respectable? I'd hope so, but I have my doubts... :)

I think Krugman winning the Nobel was interesting. The work he won it for (as usual) was very old and not even remotely related to his oft shared political views (at least not in any immediately discernible way to me). But, I think the reward was viewed by many in the public as a reward for his political views with the predictable reactions.

Do you think that Krugman and Asimov would agree about antitrust action against U.S. Robots and Mechanical Men? I'm not sure.
