I think that my biggest gripe is that you don't really have an option to 'be in it' or 'not be in it,' if you know what I mean.
They say that you're in total control of what you put on your profile. Sure, people can read it when they view my profile. When I change something, though, in order for it not to appear on the News Feed, I have to manually remove it. Every single time. And I don't really care what other people are doing, either.
What I'd really like is a way to COMPLETELY opt out of the News Feed. Like, to have the option to show it on your homepage or not, and whether or not you want to participate.
Yes, there is no such thing as privacy, and personally, when I wrote that thing, maybe privacy wasn't the best word to use. I see no need to broadcast to everyone that I'm friends with on Facebook that I just, oh, wrote on Tina's wall, so that everyone who is friends with Tina and I have it show up on their homepage. What's the point?
