The tea burns me awake, maybe.

I don't normally obsess over my weight or appearances or anything, but I do believe it's time for me to be careful. What with the vacation of Thanksgiving having passed, and extra stress due to finals and an unhealthy lack of sleep, combined with a diet supported by a cafeteria (which isn't really good news, although they do have some healthier ( Read more... )

My mother told me the exact same thing about her first year in college. With the eating and lack of exercise thing.

You might not have gotten hold of the best hot cider. I like it, but it's gotta be good cider. Or you really might not like it.

I'd be all for disguised fanfics, but you're right. Other people might not be so pleased about that kind of egg.

Well that's where the infamous "Freshman Fifteen" came from...

I don't think people would appreciate fanfics. They'd probably get a really negetive idea about me for it XD Besides, I keep my fanfic hobby a secret anyhow, lmao. So I don't really want to advertise it x3

Yeah, about the health thing, it's good that you're self-aware and taking responsibility for your health. Looks don't matter as much as the possibility that Medicare probably won't be around by the time people of your age qualify for it. And unless you know you will have full healthcare coverage for the rest of your life, it's best to keep paying exercise and good eating into your lifestyle than to have to pay the copays and deductibles for all those doctors' visits that could have been avoided if we watched our weight etc ;-)

Sorry, I probably sound so depressing.

No, you don't sound depressing ;)

I'm a bit of a health nut, ahah. ^^ I'm not intensive, but sometimes when I see people making a habit out of eating poorly for example, it gets me annoyed, especially when I see kids my age smoking. I won't patronize them or anything, but it's like, "WHY would you ruin your health like that?!"

And I also think people don't realize how much of an effect how you treat yourself when you're young has on you when you get older. People who attempt to maintain a healthier lifestyle when young will have less health problems as they age. (Generally.).

Plus, I've just noticed how much better I feel when I'm making those healthier choices, so when I have a streak of unhealthy eating or a period of time when I don't excersize, I get restless XD

I never got the smoking thing. Partially because of the smoke, and also because I couldn't see the sense in holding a burning stick between your lips. What if it suddenly fell apart and you inhaled some of the red hot part? Explain to the doctor why you have 2nd degree burns on your tonsils.

Smoking is fine for fiction. Anime, manga, movies, etc.

In real life though, it's just....not a good idea.

....I never thought of that o__o I'm now going to think about that happening whenever I see someone smoking >_>
My throat hurts thinking about it...
