Wow, that's pretty cool and interesting! I do wonder what that cd+book is doing there :D Did you lend it? Finnish does sound quite nice. And pronunciation is quite easy, since everything is pronounced as it is written. Or at least it's that way for us, might not be so easy for foreigners. Do you not think Finnish looks pretty, then? :D
I get your point. ^ - ^ The words also look longer because we don't use prepositions like English does - we inflect, decline and conjugate the stem words rather than 'put something extra around it'. For example, house in Finnish is talo. But in the house is talossa. English and Finnish just belong in different language 'family trees'. (:
