I suspect that someone else's brain was substituted for his own in order to make the rest of it happen "on cue". :-(

Considering the villain they picked to make it happen...well, it's an unsurprising choice.

As to the rest of it...*scowls and snarls*

Yeah. I don't get why they had to make it so damned graphic, although at least the apparent suicide wasn't (and for that reason maybe he isn't really dead, although if he's a lobotomized puppet he isn't really what I want to read about anyway).

Then the stuff with Xavier was graphic and gross, and I'm kind of tired of this stuff in comics.

Well, there's plenty of easily-available e-comics now that aren't Big Two, if you're looking to fill the hole in your reading schedule. Atomic Robo, Double Barrel, Love & Capes....

At the moment I'm only reading Saga. I tried Atomic Robo because I thought it'd be my thing, and find it hit and miss for my tastes. As I said below, I'm often a very character-driven reader and so far haven't found a lot of characters outside the Big Two that particularly appeal to me; it's just frustrating the way Marvel and DC treat said characters.

I'd say "this is why I stopped reading Marvel", but I only even read Deadpool. We need to either start our own company or stop reading comics altogether. Neither option sounds enticing -_-

I used to exclusively be a Marvel reader, but mostly left them in disgust some years ago when they crapped on nearly every character I liked (mostly killing them, but depowering another and writing another terribly. Avalanche was the only one who was doing okay for years). Then I went to DC and the Rogues, and now DC is pissing me off and I've dropped all their books. I might have gone back to Marvel, but...

You just can't win if you're a comic fan :(

At the moment the only book I'm buying is Saga, from Image. Problem is, I like the characters from the Big Two but not how they're handled, and so far not a lot of characters outside of DC and Marvel have caught my interest. And I'm a very character-driven reader.
