Seriously? This is fun.
The train was gone, and with it, home.
The lake was rather terrifying for one who disliked water and the dark.
But Lia Callahan stood, posture perfect, in the unfamiliar room, drinking in every bit of this new world, oblivious to the other first year students, face revealing no fear.
A red-haired girl marched right up to her. "Why are you standing like that? Are you a ballerina?" she demanded.
Lia started. Sure enough, she balanced on one foot, right foot poised behind left knee.
"Yes, I am. Well, I was," she said. "I'm Lia."
"Naia. Nice to meet you."
