Emo Backstory Recap:
Registration? Capture? No, thank you. Liadrin exhausted every last bit of her resources and strength attempting to avoid the government in its crackdown. For all their training and weaponry, humans were still mere children when compared to the lifespans of the sin'dorei. She had seen more wars than they had, engaged in combat before they had drawn their first breaths. That isn't to say that it was easy by any means, especially with the way that she and Koltira looked; masking their heritage was almost impossible. For a short time, they managed to keep just ahead of their hunters without too much concern. Liadrin would throw a heavy coat over her breastplate and greaves, along with sunglasses and a hat to hide her long ears, and venture out for supplies any time that they needed something.

But even the most carefully laid plans can come to ruin, and theirs was no exception. Out on one of her shopping runs on a particularly dismal and rainy day, a woman stopped alongside her to cross the street, arms full of groceries, barely able to see a thing other than the pile of plastic stacked up in her arms. In her carelessness, she missed the curb, slipping on the slick pavement and striking her head against the ground. From the extent of her wounds it was clear she would die within minutes if something was not done to save her. Liadrin moved to heal the dying youth, radiant light catching the attention of everyone nearby-- but they did not seem to care that the blood staining the street was no longer flowing freely, or that the girl was wide awake and already moving to sit upright. They were horrified, and their panicked expressions were all that she needed to know that she had to run.

Returning home was out of the question, not if she was being trailed, and it didn't take long for her to meet her trackers face to face. This time the aggressors were better trained, more experienced, and though she bested them, the battle left her too drained and weary to move. By the time she was able to crawl to her feet and stagger back to check on Koltira, he was gone. Liadrin feared he had been taken or killed in her absence, but each search ended in failure. Still, she never stopped.

Where They Are Now:

Recently, however, traces of the Plague began showing up in various locations just along the outer areas of the city. Dismissed easily by the news as various outbreaks of common illnesses, Liadrin knew that it was much more than that...and suddenly it all made sense. The Lich King. Somehow, he had been biding his time, waiting until Koltira was alone and exposed. But the Death Knight would never have turned, not again.

She now follows the trail left by the Scourge north, hoping to corner the monster responsible for Koltira's death; longing for his destruction.

Other notes?: Comment about plottings, or...well...anything.
