I am now caught in the awkward situation where I need to start writing Ch2 of my thesis (which is on a set of films), and I don't have any of the films checked out of the library. Worse yet, I could just write by memory because I don't need to fill in fine details just yet anyway, except I actually haven't even watched some of these films. So. Uh. ( Read more... )

You have my solidarity. There's not a single day when I don't sit in front of the computer and open Word. Then I open the Thesis document. Then I stare at it...then I stare at the articles, US Court Decisions, European Legislation and other "nice" things for it...and I stay there. Looking at the document in front of me. Well...at least until my brain tells me I should check facebook instead.

Oh my god. US Court Decisions? I pity you. We only have a million and more of those fuckers, and they keep changing to boot.

My weakness is tumblr and the xbox and... okay, I'll basically do anything to procrastinate, up to and including cleaning the house. :(

(Btw, totally glad to see you again, but ngl I'm surprised to see you're back on LJ again!)

Yeah. Though at least your Courts have the gift of concision. Ours here tend to go on and on and on for over 100 pages sometimes :P

Ahh there's why the last one I bought was the PS2. (I do have a Wii but the bloody thing doesn't have many decent games)

I was going to delete my account when I found that GRRMartin has a LJ so I occasionally pop by ;D

Well it's good to know you're still doing well!

Oh jesus I could not imagine suffering through 100 pages of a single court decision. I'd just hit wikipedia at that point! not that i dont do that for american court cases already

Yeaaaaah, I picked up an xbox because I figured I could stay entertained throughout the summer. Turns out I'd forgotten how hardcore a gamer I can be.

Uhh... At the very least, Szerelem (Love), Szegénylegények (The Round-Up), Apa (Father), Egri Csillagok (Stars of Eger--actually I think it has a non-literal translation into English), and The Witness whatever that is in Hungarian bc I forget.

and ugh

i just bought kasumi - stolen memories, and will be buying stolen ashes as soon as lair of the shadow broker finishes transferring to my fucking usb stick. I'll probably cave in and get arrival and leviathan before omega even comes out too arrrgh.

I actually almost bought all the available DLC for ME3 a few weeks ago before I realized it was a really really really terrible idea and fortunately Origin crapped out before I paid. :/

If you had an xbox, I'd just download it for you on a usb stick. BUT YOU DON'T.

(I have no idea how you play on a PC. I started up AC2 again on my computer, and I can barely move. WASD don't cut it no more after getting used to a joystick!)
