Foresaken - Prologue

This unfinished story comprises of one prologue and one chapter and it can be accurately characterized as a ridiculous character-bashing story centered on Hojo. There isn't really much that I can add to this. It's typical Slave: overblown, misinformed, misinterpreted.

I've decided that my new project is to convince everyone who reads my stories that Hojo is a complete asshole.
Even if it wasn't already obvious that Hojo is a complete asshole, this is the wrong way to go about it. If I think Hojo is a good...
I'm going to use Ron Weasley as an example, because I can't complete that last sentence. Ron's a better candidate, because while some people think he's a complete asshole, many people (like myself) don't agree, and the original material certainly doesn't intend to portray him as such.
So, if I, who like Ron Weasley, read a fic where he's presented as a complete asshole, I'm not going to say "Wow! I was wrong the entire time! Ron's a complete asshole!" I'm going to say "Wow! You can't write Ron to save your life!" If the fic manages to be good, I might even say "Wow! Your interpretation of Ron is a complete asshole. What an interesting re-imagining of a non-asshole!"
The point is, at best, a fanfic is presenting an interpretation of how things might have gone. If you want to prove a character is

Wow, I really don't know what to say. I didn't realise there was even anything left to spork after Silent Melody. As usual, you are both hilarious and informative. Lian Hua and Iscariot: better than wiki! I love how Slave writes this to add more justification to Hojo's evilness and her hatred of him, but it ends up as the exact opposite because her knowledge of the game is less than someone who's barely glanced a Lets Play. She instead manages to prove that her interpretation is even LESS likely, just like how she wrote SH and SS to prove Sephiroth was an innocent... and ended up making him more of a monster than he was in canon. Oh Slave, why do you fail so.

I'm curious... when did she write this? What information did she have to hand apart from the original game? Was it after her major fics were finished? If so, she really has no excuse at this point for being so laughably misinformed on canon, especially if she's claiming to understand characters better than the creators. Honestly, I never played FFVII and even I can tell how

Glad you are having fun! Slave wrote this in 2004, after Shinra High, so she should have had at least some idea about what was going on in the game. Should being the keyword here.

Yeah, I still think Hojo is the hero of this story. Any villain that is so hilariously cape swirling over the top is a-ok in my book. I think I will start referring to everyone as specimens and vessels in my daily life because that is just awesome.

I've read everything you've sporked of Slave's except this, and now I wish I hadn't because this is the first time I have genuinely started shouting at my computer screen while shaking with incandescent rage.

Vincent is my favorite character. I have played Dirge of Cerberus several times and I have mot of the scenes memorized and TO THIS DAY I cannot watch the scene where Hojo shoots Vincent without flinching when the gun goes off. (I literally smacked my head against my headboard the first time I watched it, I jumped backwards so fast.)

This is-- I can't-- I don't-- there is so much wrong with this I don't even and she's twisting around one of the most important and well done scenes in that jlsrgfkjslgjh---
