Woke up with another bitten tongue and very sore muscles, meaning I had another generalized seizure in my sleep last night. This tongue bite isn't as bad as the first one, it's only on the left side instead of both sides. This is the first seizure I've had in about a month, but that means the six months I have to go seizure free in order to get

This is so nasty for you. I empathise with the bit about people's reactions which are well-meant but sometimes so unhelpful.

Did I already invite you to friendly_crips? I ask at risk of being yet another person who says, 'I know somebody who has seizures!' and if that's unwelcome do please feel free to ignore. But I'm risking saying this to you because most of the people I know who have seizures are members of that comm.

I think of all my LiveJournal friends, you're the only one who can empathize instead of sympathize, so I do appreciate your comments. I will also take a look at that community, because I do want to talk to others who have seizure disorders. I just don't happen to know any myself.
