People who knew me in my early to mid 20's would be surprised how I turned out in my 30's. I pretty much look like a 30 something woman who cares not at all how others see me, and isn't interested in getting anyone's attention either. Compare this to the girl who 10 years ago had different colored hair once a month, made or modified most of her

It might be a good thing you're not in Britain. Over here, we have the Spanner judgement. I've forgotten the exact wording but it says something like, 'Don't enjoy getting pierced or whipped because if you do, and if it's not a "manly diversion", we'll lock you up in prison. Pervert.' The Countdown on Spanner campaign was active when I got my last tat done and the tattooist was quite concerned that I shouldn't say that I was enjoying the pain.

I just did some reading up on that, and I was literally speechless. I read some bits and pieces of the Wikipedia articles I was reading to my roommate, and even he (who is very conservative) was in shock. How completely ridiculous.
