Writer's Block: A literary masterpiece

The "Dark is Rising" sequence by Susan Cooper, the Chronicles of Narnia complete series by C.S. Lewis, the Harry Potter books, and anything by Diana Wynne Jones. There are so many things I could name! These are books that I would read when they are in the eight plus age range. I started buying my nephew Doctor Seuss before he was born, and CoN and the Complete Hitchhiker's Guide are two series I would read forever. Harry Potter is a given.

There's also Sideways Stories from Wayside School, and I remember Bruce Coville being one of the first science fiction-ish writer I really started reading. Oh ooooh, and the Childcraft Encyclopedia set.

Didn't mean for this comment to turn into my own answer, but the last ones I mentioned were ones I remember digging into as a wee one.

Oh shit, and Dick and Jane. Okay, I'll stop now, I swear! lol

I forgot about Bruce Coville! His books were awesome when I was in like third grade.

Oh! Amelia Bedelia books amused me while the rest of the class learned to read in first grade, I can't forget those!
