Oh, am I a fan. I love Lamb, love Muhney -- I had a big lovefest going on at Casa Shee whenever Lamb showed up on Tuesday nights. The character of Lamb (okay, plus Keith whenever he's doing more on screen than being a dad, and Cliff! So much love!) added so much of that noir element to the show and really did a lot to keep the show from descending into soapy nothingness.
...
Well, at least for me.
Plus, Michael Muhney is just awesome on the show (loved him from the pilot) and as a fan of the show and other shows, like BSG, Firefly and other things Joss. I know the Office folk like Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Brian Baumgartner, etc. get a lot of press about how accessible they are to their fandom (and rightly so!), but Muhney's been right there with them, flying under the radar. Much like the show. *sigh*
I'd been completely unspoiled and was so excited as I was watching to see so much Lamb -- I seriously thought, This is great! I hope this is a sign that we'll be getting more of him in upcoming eps
( ... )
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to seeing Keith as sheriff. I'm pretty excited about that part of it.
Oh! How could I forget Vinnie Van Lowe! I honestly thought I was dreaming last night -- Lamb, Cliff, and Vinnie for the noir trifecta, then Wallace (plus a direct callback to the pilot), and a Logan/Veronica scene with an interesting cool dynamic new but with undertones of the snark I love so much. All before the first commercial break, IIRC, or at least not too far into the ep.

But I also think that, dramatically, they can do more with Keith as Sheriff again. And they've already got one bumbling PI.

Knew it should have been too good to be true!
