This episode didn't resonate with some people? Man, I thought it was freaking magnificent. Utterly amazing in every possible way. Best of the season so far, no contest. Between Jim and Dwight and Jan and Michael, I was actually crying at the end. Plus it was so FUNNY. Perfect storm of emotions, yes?

Also, dude, if Paul was looking to get all the fangirls to line up around the block for a piece of him, well, then WELL-PLAYED, LIEBERSTEIN. ::gets in line, plunks down in lawn chair::

See, I thought there was too much pathos and not enough humor. I don't mind a little drama, in fact, most of my favorite Office moments are dramatic, but this ep was just too emotional. The funny stuff just wasn't all that funny, while the dramatic stuff killed me. Don't get me wrong, I think it was brilliantly written, otherwise it wouldn't have affected me so much, but it just didn't have enough humor, and many of the jokes fell flat for me. The cold open was brilliant though, as was the whoever/whomever debate, and of course the moment between Dwight and Jim in the hall and Dwight reaching over to hug him and realizing he was gone was absolutely beautiful, and obviously I loved Andy, but yeah, very depressing episode. And I was NOT a fan of the dangling feet. That left me saying, "What the hell was that ( ... )
