So my mom called me tonight to tell me my old piano teacher's husband died. It's kinda sad because he was a really nice person. All the serious musicians. It's the only way to get better, m'dear.

That's really sad though. It always sucks when people die, because then you realize that they're gone *forever*, which is a concept that seems so abstract otherwise...

And that comment was laced with sarcasm.

Yeah, I am more sad for Mrs. Deagan because I think she really relied on her husband. I think he helped take care of the local theater here, like maintence and stuff. He was so deaf...you had to scream at him so he could hear you. :p

Oh, sorry. It didn't sound too sarcastic, since it sounded like a valid complaint.

Do you know how long they were together? That must be really awful for her...

Dunno, since I didn't read the obituary. I think she's in her 70s though.
