So tonight I hung out with Ami, Matt, and Ami's two brothers. We ended up going bowling at Mike Aulbey's, but only for one game. It's significantly larger than Lafayette Sqare Lanes and a hell of a lot less smokey. Since cosmic bowling was going on at 11:30, we ended up just going back to Matt and Ami's to play some games

o.O The apt numbers were on the door. And since these were townhouses and not apartment buildings, there weren't any similiar numbers.

anywho, you can press the 'm' key to bring up a map, which'll show you where you are (a blue dot) and where you've been (darnassus). with the minimap and a bit of experimenting, you'd be able to figure out which way you need to go, and eventually be able to make your way back to safer lands.
if you're stuck in the middle of enemies and can't get to your corpse, you can always talk to the spirit healer -- particualrly since your armor's already completely toast, it wouldn't matter if you take the 25% durability hit or not.
anywho, i played halo 2 last night, too, and agree that the controls are really hard, even on 'legacy' style (and i've played FPS games before).. i think all my kills came from grenade, although i did manage to not blow myself up after the 2nd or 3rd game.

The map didn't help me much because I was totally confused as to where I started. I ended up getting totally turned around as to where I was going. All I really wanted to do was avoid this cave with lots of green spiders and somehow I ended up going down a brick path with lots of owls that would try and kill me.
And the controls to Halo 2 aren't hard - they're just like the first one. It's just that I am a "run in lots of circles throw lots of grenades" type player. Good for everyone else because they get lots of kills off me. Bad for me because I'm just stupid in those types of games.
