I found out last night around 5:15 that I did not get the promotion at Boscov's. :( I'm really bummed... I've got excellent credentials with my backrounds in technical communication, graphic design, and public relations. I'm guessing that they went by seniority... the woman who did get promoted was the assistant manager in the curtains department ( Read more... )

As far as kitty intros? I just hope they don't end up like Hastings and Hobbes.I seem to be hearing that a lot lately... from my folks, Arline, and a few select others. I'm not too worried... I hear that Pepper does socialize with other cats while he's outside (and doesn't come home with any injuries... hope the same is true for the other kitties...). Plus, Nutmeg comes from a household that had up to eight or nine cats (including her siblings and mom) so I'm not too worried about her getting along with Pepper. As for Pepper getting along with Nutmeg, well, they've only been in the same house (in separate rooms... Nutmeg currently has one of the two spare bedrooms all to herself, Pepper has the run of the rest of the house) for about 3 hours, and Pepper hasn't made any fuss. Last I checked he was keeping vigil outside the door ( ... )
