It's been three weeks since I got married. Well, longer. Next week will be our one monthversary. Though I doubt we'll do anything special to celebrate.

I have been trying to write about the wedding for awhile. I have read so many wedding blogs at this point, just as a touchstone and for ideas and just because it was like porn for a little while, and

i'm so glad you posted this, libby. i was thinking of you over the weekend (when i wasn't getting engaged myself) and am happy to have an account of it! not just because it gives me some glimpse into what i missed but also because now i have to start planning myself... :)

I am happy to help and support you! The biggest thing that I'd say is just to decide what you want, and then stick to it, and don't waste time and effort on things that don't matter to you, or let someone else's ideas about what you should be doing derail you. Everyone said they had a wonderful time and that it was one of the best weddings they'd ever been to, and that was great and all - I'm glad people had a good time - but that didn't matter nearly so much to me as that the wedding was truly us, truly the rite of passage that I wanted to have
