I told Peter that watching music videos while writing doesn't distract me, but rather stops me from getting distracted. He doesn't believe me. And judging by the way Dad laughed, he doesn't believe either. Protesting didn't exactly help matters

Daddy and Peter are silly. Certain kinds of "distraction" can definitely help one focus... different kinds for different people. If a room is absolutely silent, I have a really hard time concentrating. For me, it's best to have a constant buzz of people moving around and talking, none of them real nearby. That's why a place like a coffee shop or a mall is great for me. Music tends to distract me if there are any words in it, but instrumental music can work well for certain moods.

Yeah. Dad actually noticed I was looking a bit peeved, and he asked me about it, so the whole thing is actually sorted out on the Dad side. I like the word 'peeved.'
