field recordings, tones, and minimal beats make up the current soundtrack of my life. sounds of the moment layered with sounds from other places and times. nostalgic and calming but serious. a reminder that life is fleeting.
One recording I am using in my track is one a guy made in the 80s when Mt St Helen's exploded. He was 140 miles away, but the sound is so unique and the story so awesome I dlded it and processed it to have more of what it would feel like to experience that... but that moment in time saved onto tape is really quite interesting. Sound is a way of remembering that is quite meaningful.
