Re: You 'I voted' sticker:

I have voted since I turned 18 (2000). I have never gotten an 'I voted' sticker. :( Either I was voting in a tiny town that just sent you on your way with no sticker, or I voted absentee (this year).

...I wish I had a sticker.

I voted at about 2:30 today and there was no line! I was kinda disappointed but I figure most people were either at work or already voted in the morning. Everyone I heard from was saying that it took at least an hour, so I guess I just went at the right time! I made my mom go with me cause I wasn't sure that she would otherwise!
I didn't get a sticker either, but I have never got one.

Voted. Got (nicely) asked to take off or hide the Obama button on my bag. (He didn't notice my Obama earrings, but I took those off too.) And this time there were stickers!

Went and carpooled up to New Hampshire to canvass. Got some people who I think voted McCain, and most had already voted, but I was still glad to be doing something rather than going crazy at home.

I could still be making calls to GOTV, but I'm kinda wiped out. Here's where if anyone is feeling twitchy energy they want to expend productively.

Might head back out to the local "nail-biting" campaign party later, if I revive at all. Free food, buy your drinks.

I love voting and I've voted in EVERY election {primary and general} since I turned 18. This year was one of the worst years I've ever experienced when it came to my polling place. Here's my story... and I'm sticking to it ( ... )

So, just call them up and tell them my story? I mean, what can they really do? I was told by the Election Officials at the Voter Registration office and the people at the polling place that "There was nothing that could be done because my vote was counted and they can't really tell the machine which ballot was mine and to not count it." I'm just really mad that this happened. I plan on calling the Democratic Chair of my county and complaining. If this woman really was a Democrat, I highly doubt she'd say, "Well, this is a Republican County anyway." when my mother told her she just lost a Democratic vote.
