Ok, I'm going to put a question out there, and I would ask for you to respond WITHOUT a push for details on why the question must be asked ( Read more... )

GENERALLY SPEAKING!!!

You go for it. You gotta try it, or you'll regret it all your life. You gotta stick that toe in the water and go with your gut. If you don't, you can't say that you lived.

Part of me says that....but there are some rather interesting details. Something along the lines of an age difference...still go for it?

Don't you miss art class last year? You could have brought this up as a rhetorical question and started an arguement between Emily and Sam ;)

Although i'm not sure what's going on.. i'll say this : It depends on how BIG the age difference is.. a 40 year old man is a bad choice. Just in case you hadn't thought of that one yourself.

Hmm. . . I'm guessing that the guy is older? Again, it really depends on the age difference. 15 and 18 is probably ok. 15 and 20? maybe. Any older than that and you have to wonder why he isn't with someone closer to his own age.

I think the most important thing is to have an equal relationship- that is, both people mean the same to each other. If you're in love and he's just looking for an easy lay, then it will never work out. And a major age difference will always create a power imbalance. One person can drive, drink, vote, smoke, and the other can't- that's an imbalance. And people of different ages will view relationships differently. I mean, think about what a relationship meant in 7th grade as compared to 10th grade

Of course, this all remains in the hypothetical at this point. . . you need to give more details!
