Good place to start: Smile. Just do it. If you don't feel like smiling just because, take a writing implement and hold it horizontal between your teeth without letting your lips touch it. If you're still staring at this computer screen indifferent, get up and look in the mirror. By this point your face muscles have sent enough feedback to your brain to make it feel enough like you're smiling to at least make you feel a little bit better... right? I'm really hoping you're not still frowning at this comment. At least laugh at its absurdity if that's how you feel. If you're already smiling anyway, then go smile at somebody else and not this. See if you can get them to smile with you. It works. Seriously.
