Does anyone know what strangles is?  Let me enlighten you.  It is  Streptococcus equi.  That's correct.  Strep throat for horses.  Except when this stuff spreads it is not scarlet fever, but bastard strangles.  The symptoms include rope-like yellow mucus from nose, fever and glandular swelling near throat.  The swelling can be so bad as to choke ( Read more... )
