I loved this, especially

Bellatrix killed Sirius doesn't mean much to you. Say it again. After a while the mantra becomes eight broken syllables, belluh-trix kild seer-e-uss, and that doesn't mean anything at all.

The fragmentation really works, as does the 2nd-person.

*scratches head* I don't get the title, though. Is he on laudanum? Or is it to point to how he's sorta acting like he is?
