I like it! My one pick would be the word "surety"-- is that a real one? I would have used certainty, but then you use uncertain right after, so it could be "certainty" followed by "unsure"... but if surety is real and you like it, nevermind. :)

Also the "Today-I-am-going-to" thing ... it seems like too casual a setup for what Remus does, you know?

OK sorry if you didn't want little critiques, because overall I liked it, it was different.

i was pretty sure microsoft word (though not always reliable) had okayed it, but i double-checked and huzzah! merriam webster online says it's a word.

and oh, i am crap at talking about what i write and why i write it. i guess i stuck it in there because it was so casual. and thought the action remus took would come as more of, i don't know, a surprise or something, sort of understated like that.

yep, i'm crap at defending things. :P

but i don't mind little critiques. :) thanks for reading.

Bloody cousins. I liked that ^_^ esp the beginning bits, they had a good childhood feeling about them. That uncertainty about the world.

I thought the lightness you treated the Sirius betraying Remus bit with was excellent for the mood of your piece, since a dark complicated detailing of that would have weighed it down. ^~ Nicely done.

Very nice. Remus is spot-on how I see him -- funny how you do that. :P

Cousin reminds me to much of myself at a younger age and I love the idea that sunlight would either blind your or turn you to stone.

great story, slightly sad but still lovely.
