My main story (see last entry) for IWRY had to be brought forward a week, and this is the story that has now gone into my original date, 9th November.

I did like it!

My two favorite parts: I really tend to hate fics where Angel and Angelus are depicted as two separate entities, sharing one body, talking to each other, etc. Here you acknowledge there is no line - Angel is a demon period. The soul helps him ignore those desires, but he is still a vampire.

I also love that Buffy isn't naive. She's young, not stupid.

It was interesting to reflect on how hard Angel might find it to control his thoughts now that he's come back into some sort of society after all those years of self-imposed exile. And, surely Buffy must have some secret thoughts about this vampire who is following her around...

I agree with A2zmom's comment. Angel is a demon with his demon desires.

And boy. Talk about an apt summary. A story about temptation. It's all that and more.

I see Fred's long neck, Buffy's delicious neck, Willow's, everyone's necks looking oh so tasty and tempting to Angel. All. The. Time.

Thank you for reminding us what a deliciously dark character Angel is.

A wonderful story.

It can't have been easy for Angel, coming back into the company of people after his self-imposed exile. And Buffy must be human enough to have some secret, dark desires about this dishy vampire that she's hooked...

Sensuous and lush, this fic is deeply satisfying. ITA with a2z that its nice to read Angel as an integrated being and Buffy as simply young and not stupid :-)

This was was such fun to write, and I'm really glad that you liked it. I've always thught that, right from discovering what Angel is, Buffy must have had some censorable thoughts... :~))))

And one has to ask how Angel would adjust to being so close to humanity, and to Buffy... :~))))

Wow, Jo. That sexy title was no empty promise. Rowr.

My favorite part was the way that the second and the third sections both had their own little twist: first when we see that it's not a story about Angelus, but about Angel working to control himself, and second when we see that Buffy (too smart and too sexy for her own good) is well aware of the attention on her, and of the power of her neck.

I also loved it when Angel was thinking about what love means, and how it's the opposite of owning a person, even though he knows that he has a possessive nature yet still truly loves Buffy.

And all that detailed description of blood and biting and how it feels and tastes to a vampire....mmmm. That hit the sweet spots. :)

Even your backup stories are better than most fanfiction currently in existence. Rock on.
