Oh, no, Sir, I wouldn't have completely left without first expressing my thanks for your generosity and kindness. I'm very sorry to have caused any concern. For you or Dante. To be honest, I'm rather surprised that he noticed. I'm rather pleased that the latest bouts of insanity seem to have missed me. Hopefully they didn't prove very problematic for your household.

Gracious. It's no trouble at all. I do believe we were all rather.. preoccupied. My dear, are you feeling any better? Perhaps I could bring by some tea if you still feel ill.

A bit better, thank you. Stronger than yesterday, if sill rather stuffy and a bit achy, I'm afraid. I wouldn't trust my hands to stay steady at this point. I'd hate to try and mend those lovely volumes in this condition.
I wouldn't want to impose... I'd feel dreadful if you fell sick as well!

Oh heavens no! I would never dream of you doing such a thing. I could never live with myself if something were to happen to you on my behalf.
And believe me, my dear, it is no trouble at all. My health is never something that should be in your worries, though I do thank you for the concern. And perhaps I could make up something to eat as well. You must maintain your strength if you are to feel better.

Me? Oh, no, I was worried about the books! With all the glue and tape and knives and needles, it really could be quite disastrous without the right handling.
But, ah, I must admit, greatly enjoy a little company. I've been by myself, mostly. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I... I would appreciate it.

By 'we' I of course mean both myself, and my youngest son.

Not too problematic. This family is rather used to that sort of disturbances. Though I am glad to know you were spared and could rest in peace.
