I'm quite certain that that's the case.
I don't think it will stop anyone from celebrating, though.
Are you concerned about not aging another year?

i'm 13 so it kind of sucks to imagine being this age forever.

Thirteen?

[She has to type out all her numbers, okay? It's just a thing.]

I can understand your frustration, then.
I don't believe I've seen your letter-colour before, though.
Have we met?

I'm Evelyn, and likewise!
I don't think I've seen you around, but I do tend to spend a lot of time in the library.
Have you spent a birthday here yet?

[Such language for such a young man!]

I wouldn't despair if I were you, unless you have some other reason for wanting to be older.
The mansion has a funny way of changing things around for us.
And I doubt you'll be here forever.

[It could be worse. He could be a young English man.]

i just have

plenty of them.

[She's been here long enough to guess a few of those reasons.]

That's understandable.
Girl-troubles?

[She's assuming the worst.]

[Oh goodness, how could it possibly get worse than that?]

The other ones aren't bad, are they?
...I suppose the drinking age doesn't really matter here, though.

You'll get taller when you go home.
I know it's hard, but it's something you have to get used to, here.
Try to enjoy it? When you're much older you'll wish you had more time at your age.
